Why yours is different from a plumber’s
This buyer is checking your registration before they read a word.
A plumbing customer is panicking. An electrical customer is being careful. They have heard that bad electrical work burns houses down, they half-know there is paperwork involved, and they are trying to work out whether you are the real thing.
So the layout is inverted. Your NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA or STROMA number sits above the fold, not in the footer, and the page is built to be checked rather than skimmed.
Part P is the bit worth explaining. Being on a competent person scheme means you can self-certify notifiable work, which saves your customer a council building-control fee. Most householders have never heard of that and do not know it is a reason to choose you over the bloke who is cheaper.
The site says it in plain English — and the scheme and tier stated are the ones you actually hold. Approved Contractor is not the same as Domestic Installer, and nobody gets upgraded on paper.
